Description

General Description - Responsible for entire warehouse operation, including facilities management, operations management and customer service. The Warehouse Manager is measured by the collective performance of his / her team of employees in the warehouse.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manage all drivers and driver’s schedules.
2. Ensure required paper work for drivers and trucks are completed and filed.
3. Oversee mileage and fuel reports for trucks are sent to Corporate.
4. Oversee drivers have completed their truck inspection paperwork daily.
5. Oversee the drivers are trained and following the most current Fleet Safety Procedures.
6. Maintain truck maintenance, service and repair records for each truck. (Monthly, yearly, etc.)
7. Conduct Monthly Truck Inspections for accuracy of material loaded.
8. Accountable for deliveries being on time and meeting delivery requirements for our customers.
9. Conduct daily walk through of warehouse to set work priorities for staff.
10. Set daily job expectation for each warehouse person. Provide good direction.
11. Oversee receiving and ensure company procedures are followed.
12. Confirm that material is being put away promptly and accurately.
13. Ensure accuracy and timely pulling of orders. Reduce order-pulling errors.
14. Confirm returns are inspected/verified and are handled in accordance with company procedure.
15. Create procedures to uncover errors and fix the root of the problem
16. Use available reports to assist in identifying errors and proper follow-up. (Picker-ID report)
17. Address employee’s performance issues as they arise by using progressive disciplinary measures.
18. Conduct performance appraisals on warehouse staff and assist in setting job goals.

20. Communicate with sales delivery or service problems.
21. Maintain organization of office and of office files.
22. Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse and yard; make sure that it is cleared of trash, boxes debris, etc.
23. Accountable for building and yard maintenance which includes the completion of the Monthly Branch Inspection Checklist.
24. Responsible for all Powered Industrial Truck maintenance and on-going training of staff.
25. Ensure company Safety Program is communicated and followed daily.
26. Ensure accidents are investigated and reported accurately within the 24 hour window (include pictures).
27. Maintain security systems for building and yard.
28. Manage resources and expense budget for warehouse.
